Description
The de Wolverton family ran out of male heirs in the late 14th century and the estates were divided between various daughters and their husbands. The Wolverton manor came into the possession of Sir John Longueville of Billing.
The Longueville family prospered until the last part of the 17th century when they became heavily indebted. Sir Edward Longueville, the last of his line, sold the manor in 1713.
